Hi friends! I hope you are having a good day despite all the insanity, haha! I’m so ready to stop talking about politics and start celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas (and shopping all the holiday sales)! On a different note, I finally understand why college students are so crazy this time of year, it’s because EVERYTHING is due right now. Let’s just say my ability to wait until the very last minute to start an assignment and still get it done on time is being put to the test. Also, we are down to our last few cheer practices before break and are switching from football to basketball so things are equally as crazy and exciting in the gym. Aside from class and cheer I’ve been having a lot of fun since we last chatted! In the past two weeks I saw two movies, The Accountant and Hacksaw Ridge. Both were so good and the movie theatre here makes the experience that much better. Not only do they have recliners, they have butt warmers too!! I’d rate it a 10/10!;) I also made another trip to the zoo with some of the girls on my team! And last weekend my friend, Hannah, was home from Clemson and I got to see her for the first time since August and meet some of her sweet friends!

Also while I was home I got to see my family! I miss them so much at school and love seeing them! I wish Amanda could live here with me sometimes. She is always my favorite concert date and shopping buddy and she makes me laugh all the time! We pretty much have the exact same style, these two outfits together totally prove it. Normally when we go to the mall, we split up in the store and then meet up in the dressing room and more often than not we both have at least one of the same things picked out. One of our recent picks are patchwork. It is so trendy and perfect for fall! I love this patchwork dress from Philanthropy. It pairs perfectly with the suede cross body, also from Philanthropy, and the layered bracelets from Sunkissed Jewelz. Amanda’s look is a more casual take on the patchwork trend. Her jeans were a clearance find from Aeropostale and her laced-up tank is also a clearance find from American Eagle! Both of these outfits would be perfect for fall parties or Thanksgiving dinners!

Have a great week!

Okay people, if this outfit doesn’t scream fall, I seriously don’t know what does! Between the vibrant orange, neutral basics, lace detail, and leather button-up skirt this outfit is a perfect option. I feel like the only thing missing in these pictures are some changing leaves and pumpkins!;)

Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a great week so far! I’ve been busy with class and cheer (per usual). I mentioned homecoming in this post and thought I’d fill you in on how it went haha! Thursday was our pep rally which was probably my favorite part! The sororities and frats did a lip sync which was so funny and we performed a routine with the dancers! Our routine went really well and our coaches were happy with it which is always good. Ya know the saying “happy wife, happy life?” When you’re an athlete it’s more like “happy coach, happy life” hahaha!;) Friday night not much was going on on campus so some of my friends and I went exploring in a town really close to St. Charles called New Town. It is one of the cutest places ever and I want to go back during the day and walk around. Saturday was the parade and the game which my family came up for so I was so happy to see them! It had been so long since I had seen my sister and I missed her a lot. That night we all went out to eat with my friend Ashlynn and after my family left Ashlynn and I went to the mall (typical)! And Sunday I finished the weekend off with a trip to the pumpkin patch!

Now for the outfit! I LOVE this t-shirt from Brickwood. It is so soft and so cute. Plus you just can’t go wrong with a cute graphic t-shirt. I styled the graphic with a pair of jeans, Converse, a flannel, and a pom pom choker from Sunkissed Jewelz (also sold at Brickwood)!

Talk to ya soon! Xoxo, Sam

Hi friends! This week is homecoming week at LU and I’m really happy about it! Cheerleaders are performing at the pep rally tomorrow and the football game is Saturday! Since my high school didn’t have football, this will be my first pep rally ever so I can’t wait to see what they are actually like haha! This past weekend I visited my two best friends, Wendy and Savannah, at Missouri State for their homecoming… We didn’t even watch the whole game because we went zip lining instead, priorities!;) When we weren’t trying to understand football or flying over trees they were taking me to the best restaurants. From gourmet grilled cheeses, sushi, and Italian cheese bagels at the Farmers Market, I feel like I experienced it all. If Wendy and Savannah didn’t live there I seriously think I’d go back just for the food, it is soooo good! I can’t wait to go back and visit them!

This dress is one of my favorites from Philanthropy. I wear floral all the time so of course I was drawn to this one! I don’t usually see this color in a floral so I thought this dress was so pretty! The neckline of this dress is super pretty and doesn’t need much accessorizing but I thought this lace chocker by Sunkissed Jewelz created a really chic and layered look. The cross body purse is from Stash. I think the structured shape and the crisp white really pop against the floral print. Black booties are a staple for me in the fall and winter and I think they pair perfectly with this dress.

Have a great week!

My Three Favorite F Words: Friends, Fridays, and Flare Jeans

It’s official… I love city life! This past Friday was probably my favorite college yet! All of my classes got out early, whoo! So I was reading one of my favorite blogs, Olivia Rink, and she mentioned the Nordstrom Rack sale and of course I had to go check it out myself… The location I went to was a total bust sale wise, but I love having so many shopping options so close and whether I buy anything or not, it really is retail therapy. Then later that night some of my cheer friends and I went to Six Flags and had the best time ever! We spent the car ride jamming to Backstreet Boys and Fergie songs! Then where we got there we had a blast riding all the rides and trying to avoid the ‘scare zones’ because we are all big chickens haha! They even convinced me to ride Superman– the ride that goes up really high and then drops–I swear I almost had a heart attack but my screaming the entire way up made everyone else laugh so I guess it was worth it! Roller coasters and new friends are two of my favorite things! This is a picture of the four of us!

This outfit is so fun! I know I mention it a lot but I seriously love denim, and I love wearing denim different ways! I totally used to be that girl that only wore skinny jeans but times have certainly changes, if you are this girl, you’re definitely missing out! Everyone needs a good pair of flare jeans in their wardrobe! These flare jeans are a pair I bought when I worked at Aero and I picked them up for like $8! They fit super nicely and I love the wash! I paired my flare jeans with this girly blouse from Stash. The floral print is so pretty and the blue in the top with the blue in the jeans work so well together. The outfit doesn’t need a ton of accessories because the blouse is pretty detailed, but I did add another shade of blue with this chic cross body bag from Philanthropy and some bracelets from Sunkissed Jewelz.

Have a great week!

Hi there! I hope you’re having a good Tuesday! As you all probably know by now, I am loving the more ‘minimalist’ style–boyfriend jeans, a comfy tee/tank, and a ponytail! This outfit is a poor/trendy college student’s dream hahaha! My tank is an Old Navy clearance find that I snagged for under $5! It is a great staple piece and can be worn through all the seasons by layering or unlayering. I paired it with my favorite $2 Goodwill boyfriend jeans! I’m pretty sure these jeans are the best 2 bucks I’ve ever spent because I wear them practically every other day. I added a pop of color with my orange bag and printed Old Navy flats. To finish it off I wore some of my favorite accessories: a simple necklace, black Quay sunglasses, and a headband!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Lindenwood Cheerleading performed at a Cardinal’s game on Friday night and my family came up to watch, then I got to spend some quality time with them on Saturday which was so nice! Also, I have been loving this fall weather! It is so nice to finally break out the long sleeves and boots! Fall fashion is the best fashion!

This outfit is one of my favorites! I feel like it gives off the effortless chic vibe that I love. It is also super easy to put together and is the perfect outfit for so many different events! This off the shoulder top from Stash is such a wardrobe staple and is the foundation of this outfit. Tops similar to this are so on trend and they are just so charming and girly. I think this top pairs perfectly with my favorite Banana Republic jeans. These and my ‘mom jeans’ are my absolute go-tos. They are just so comfortable and go with practically anything. I also love the distressed detailing at the bottom. My accessories are a little more vibrant than I typically go for. Both of my necklaces are from Sunkissed Jewelz (sold at Brickwood and Thredz) and I love them. The tassel necklace really ties everything together and adds some color to the look. It also matched perfectly with my orange cross body bag and platform sandals!

Have a great week! Xoxo, Sam

Floral Tunic: Love of Family and Home

Hi everyone! Happy fall! I seriously cannot believe it is almost October, college goes by sooooo fast! This past weekend was so fun! On Friday I went to the Loop with my friend Ashlynn! For those of you that have never been, it is in downtown St. Louis and there are a bunch of trendy shops, boutiques, and restaurants. It was so hipster and cool, I can’t wait to go back (I am working on a full post to share my favorite spots there)! Saturday we had another football game and my parents came and visited me! After the game we all went out to eat at the best breakfast restaurant ever, Gingham’s. My friends and I always go there around midnight for some late night pancakes! Sunday I went to Six Flags with my roommate Shelby and introduced her to the Batman! She lives in Orlando so she goes to Disney and Universal all the time (lucky) but I think she liked the St. Louis version of an amusement park!

For this outfit I wanted to take some of my favorite summer items and transition them into fall. I started with this little floral tunic from Love of Family and Home. It can be also be worn as a dress but is perfect to pair with jeans or leggings when the weather is a little cooler. I also wanted to wear my favorite hat! This is definitely going to be a year round piece for me, I swear it goes with everything. I added my Ray-Bans and Bauble Bar earrings to finish off the look!

Talk to ya soon! Xoxo, Sam

Hello everyone! I hope you’ve had a great start to your week! Last Friday night I spontaneously went to the Florida Georgia Line concert with some of my friends here and it was a blast! It was raining so hard and the venue was outside so we sang and danced in the rain and I’ve never been happier about wearing wet jeans and getting muddy, haha. Literally I could wring out my hair at the end of the night! Speaking of hair, can I just say that the FGL guys rock the long hair, I give man buns two thumbs up!;)

My style lately has gotten super casual. I’m not sure if it’s because of college or what but a cute t-shirt and some jeans are my go to look pretty much every day, and lucky for me, they are definitely in style right now!  I actually wore this shirt to the Justin Bieber concert a few months ago and I think it is perfect for concerts. It is so comfortable and easy but the cut outs make it look a little more dressed up than just a regular t-shirt. I paired the shirt with all of my favorite items: boyfriend jeans, Ray-Bans, and my Giving Key necklace!

Go do something fun this weekend! Xoxo, Sam

Denim Top: Philanthropy | Cross body Purse: Stash | Necklace: Sunkissed Jewelz

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a good week so far! Today was my first day of the week that I didn’t have practice so I had a pretty relaxing day catching up on homework and running errands. Any other newbies to adult life feel so mature when buying groceries, because same?! Hahaha!

This is the perfect outfit for getting stuff done because it is super comfortable but it looks a lot chicer than leggings and a t-shirt — which is one of my go to’s. Denim on denim is huge this season and I am definitely jumping on the denim train. It is so easy to style and I think almost everyone has some denim laying around in their closet they can use! This light wash, denim tank from Philanthropy in Cape is the perfect transition piece from summer to fall. The split detail in the back is so unique. I cuffed my favorite pair of dark wash skinny jeans and slipped on these $4 printed Old Navy flats. The flats are the perfect pop of color and I just think there is something about printed shoes that transform an outfit. I paired the outfit with some of my favorite accessories: Ray Bans, this pretty Stash cross body, and a choker from Sunkissed Jewelz (sold at Brickwood)!

Have a great day! Xoxo, Sam
