Hi people! I hope you had a good weekend! I went to see Beyonce in concert with my sister, and our friends Kennedy and Wendy! It was sooooo much fun, partly because of the concert and partly because I got to see my favorite people! Out of all the concerts I have ever been to she probably had the best production as far as choreography, set, and costuming goes (I feel like I’m cheating on JB when I say that but it’s true haha)! Oh my gosh, she rocks, and she just seemed like such a genuinely happy and nice person on stage! Plus we got to see one of her backup dancers get proposed to in the middle of the show which was so cute!

I have been saving this outfit for awhile and today seemed like the day to share it with you! I don’t know if I like the outfit or the firetruck in the background more, but either way, this is one of my favorites! For any of you that have been paying attention to New York Fashion Week (seriously on my bucket list to go one day and watch), I’m sure you have been noticing the huge trend of mixing textures and I am so excited about it! Because the entire outfit is blue, it is all about the textures. I think the way the printed denim works with the suede is so chic and kind of unexpected to have only 1 hue. Both of these items are clearance finds from Old Navy, I believe the skirt and shirt were around $6 each. To contrast with the blue in the clothes, I accessorized with grey. Both the booties and the hat are from PacSun and they were each $5! You read that right, $80 Roxy booties for $5! That was probably one of my best deals ever! The “Rock On” fork necklace is so fun and such a statement piece. I purchased it at a craft fair at the booth Rescued Relics and I love to wear it to spice up an outfit and give it some personality.

Talk to ya soon! Xoxo, Sam

Dress: Philanthropy Cape

Hi everyone! I hope you had a super relaxing weekend and a good week so far! My sister and I had a lot of fun at the Fifth Harmony Concert on Friday night. If I’m being totally honest they weren’t my favorite show ever but Amanda and I had some much needed “sister bonding time” haha! Before I left for college we would always drive around and JAM to the radio (especially Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, and Selena). We hadn’t gotten to sing in the car together since before I left so it was probably my favorite part of the weekend driving around and exploring the campus and St. Louis. My other favorite part was the serious shopping spree we went on(of course haha)! Amanda is my absolute favorite person to shop with because she knows my style, she likes the same brands, and she is also really good at finding sales, I taught her everything she knows;). Free People and the Lucky Outlet were having some awesome deals that we definitely took advantage of! Both of us have been obsessing over fun graphic tees and dressing them up with chokers, booties, and other accessories. If you are also loving the graphic tee trend, Lucky men’s department has some super cute ones and I love the fit of them because they are actual t-shirts instead of the fitted style.

This outfit is the total opposite of the grungy t-shirts and choker I have been loving but my style seriously changes from day to day so this Philanthropy dress was one I had to share with you! It is just so pretty and it is such a flattering cut. Maxi dresses can have a tendency to be more flowy and not as fitted but this one has such a nice fit that really lays nicely. Also, the print is so fun and I love the colors, it helps distract me from thinking about how summer is almost over. My favorite part of the dress is obviously the back. It is so unique and a really nice detail, very feminine and girly in the front but a little chicer in the back!

Talk to ya soon! Xoxo, Sam

Purse, Sunglasses, and Bracelet: Brickwood Boutique

Hi people! Happy Friday! I am so ready for this long weekend and to finally go home! Last night I cheered at my first ever college football game and Lindenwood won so that was really exciting and tonight my sister and I are going to see Fifth Harmony (yay for $10 concert tix, if you live in St. Louis and are free tonight here is the link)! It is going to be such a good weekend!

Since I’ve been in college for a few weeks I would say my style has definitely gotten a little more casual. I am always looking for something quick to throw on so I can be out the door quickly. This tank top I got at Old Navy is an essential for me. It is so comfortable and easy to wear but it also looks a little dressier and is easy to transition from a casual look to a more dressed up look. Also, it was around $5 I think, which is a total steal! I wanted to keep the look pretty simple so I added my favorite Tommy Hilfiger thrifted shorts and my polka dot Keds that were an $11 clearance find. The accessorizing is where I added to the outfit! This hat is one of my favorites ($5 Pacsun clearance). I wore it to the pool all the time this summer but I’m sure I will wear it a lot with flannels and boots in the fall. The bracelet, sunglasses, and purse all came from Brickwood! They are all really neutral pieces and are very versatile to wear a bunch of different ways! Make sure you follow Brickwood on Instagram because they have been posting a ton of new accessories and summer clearance and if you don’t live in Cape they ship for FREE!

To celebrate Labor Day weekend, Brickwood gave me the purse, sunglasses, and bracelet to giveaway to one of you girls ($50 value)! Make sure you are following me on Instagram to enter (info will be posted tonight, 9/2)!

Have a happy Labor Day weekend!

Xoxo, Sam

Hi girls! I can’t believe this is my last #Farmingforgood post! It’s so crazy how much my life has changed since the first Farming For Good outfit! We started class last week and regular season cheer practices so it was super crazy! Living in St. Louis is seriously so fun and I’ve made some awesome friends!  On Friday we decided at 3 o clock in the afternoon that we were going to go see Luke Bryan and it was a blast, probably one of my favorite concerts ever! Perks of living in the city is there is always something to do!

One of the things I miss about home is all of the fresh food so I styled my final Farming For Good outfit for a day at the farmers market! Emma (my photographer/bff) and I had so much fun walking around trying foods and my favorite thing was probably picking out fresh flowers! Since I was going a lot of walking I kept it really simple and functional with jeans and flats and tied a flannel around my waist to add some color and a print!

Don’t forget to post pictures in your t-shirt using the #farmingforgood!

Have an awesome week! Xoxo, Sam

Hi girls! I hope you are having a great week! This is one of my best friends, Hannah! We got to know each other through all star cheer in middle school and have remained super close ever since! She is attending Clemson University and even though we are super far apart we still talk all the time! She is definitely one of those people that I know will be a friend for life, and she is absolutely STUNNING! She is wearing a dress from Eccentrics boutique. Unfortunately, it is sold out but they have lots of other trendy options so definitely check them out, AND, they are having a huge sale starting today (8/25), so definitely check them out! Her gold watch and sandals are both Michael Kors, I will link some similar options below!

I am wearing this fun shirt from WLB Style! The off the shoulder trend is HUGE right now and I love that this one is so girly and chic! I think Amanda of WLB describes it better than I ever could, she says, “Who remembers when Britney Spears would wear a bandana top and we all thought, hey I want to do that?!  Well, this is the 2016 version.” So true! Basically, you need this shirt in your wardrobe! And it’s ON SALE! Make sure you snag it before it’s sold out! I added my Banana Republic straight leg jeans and my $3 Old Navy kids shoes to keep it simple!

Amanda at WLB styled this shirt on her blog too so be sure and check it out here for more ways to style this blouse!

Have a fantastic weekend! Xoxo, Sam

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Today is my first day of classes at Lindenwood and regular season cheer practice, and it also happens to be my 18th birthday, so it is going to be a busy day haha! It is so strange not spending it at home with my family but my roommate surprised me with the sweetest decorations and gift so it made me feel a little more at home! I also got to see my family and my best friend, Wendy, this weekend which was so nice! I miss them all so much!

This is my favorite of the #farmingforgood outfits! I wanted to show that you can totally dress up a t-shirt for more stylish events and still be comfortable! I paired my t-shirt with this super trendy skirt from Philanthropy in Cape. High-waisted skirts like this with buttons down the front are really in style right now and I see them all the time in suede but this one is a faux leather and I think it is so cute. I added this lace chocker from Sunkissed Jewelz to add some detail to the top. Chockers are another HUGE trend this fall and I think they are usually an edgier piece but I love that this one is a little girlies and more feminine. To finish the look off I added my platform wedges. Platforms are my favorite shoes if I am dressing the outfit up because they are so easy to walk in and add a little height, plus they make the outfit look a lot chicer.

Don’t forget to post pictures in your t-shirt using the #farmingforgood!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Today is my first day of no cheer practice and freshman stuff begins! I think I am going to wear this outfit to one of the events if they are dressier! This was one of my favorite photoshoots ever, we were goofing around and I was dancing all over the place and Emma was able to get some good pictures out of it, haha! I purchased this shirt at one of my favorite stores, Brickwood! I absolutely love the print and all of the lace detailing. The sleeves and the bow in the back are such cute details. I added my favorite Tommy Hilfiger shorts to go with it. I think it gives off a bit of a boho vibe so I paired the outfit with this trendy belt from American Eagle. Do you ever forget you bought something and then find it a while later in the back of your closet? That happened with this belt and now I wear it all the time, I love when that happens! I’ve been seeing a lot of belts similar to this on celebrities or other fashion bloggers/vloggers but usually they are pretty expensive. This one was a $10 clearance find at AE so if you are on the hunt for some cute belts I would definitely recommend checking them out. These shoes are from another one of my favorite stores, Philanthropy! They are so comfy and are one of those products that give back. I’ve talked about them before but in case you forgot, read all about them here. They are a super comfortable shoe and the straps are customizable so you can tie them different ways and get different colors and prints! I finished the look off with this $5 Kendall and Kylie hat from PacSun.

Have a great rest of the week, xoxo, Sam

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great start to your week! Last time I did a “Farming For Good” post I was still living at home… So much has changed this past week, it’s crazy! I am thinking about doing a “college experience” post so if you are interested in reading about my life here at LU, definitely let me know in the comments below! To make a long story short, it was definitely hard at first, right now only cheerleaders, dancers, and football players are living on campus so it’s like a ghost town everywhere but the gym and the dining hall, haha! I am without a roommate until later this week and am the only person on my floor, so it was a little lonely at first but I’m getting used to it now! We have had practice everyday since move in so I haven’t had too much time to explore or do anything outside of practice but hopefully the next few weeks I will get to take advantage of the St. Louis shopping and other things to do. It’s so weird that here, it’s the same distance to go to the Hollywood Amphitheater as it was Wal-Mart at home, or at home it took me 25 minutes to get to a mall and here there’s at least 4 HUGE malls in a 25 mile radius! Before it was so hard to find something to do and here I feel like I will never get bored. Now that I’ve been here for a few days I have made several friends on the team, and am not as homesick I’m really starting to like it here!

Now to talk about my outfit! TBH this is an outfit that I would seriously wear all the time! I am definitely a jeans and t-shirt enthusiast (read about this tee here) so this is an outfit you would definitely catch me wearing to run errands or for school or something casual. These jeans are a favorite of mine that you will be seeing a lot this fall. I love a good skinny jean, but lately I have been looking for something that I can comfortably squat down in and don’t have to do a dance to get on (admit it, we all have the skinny jean shuffle). These straight leg Banana Republic jeans are a perfect replacement. They are still a more fitted jean, but they have a little bit more room to move around in. If you are also looking for a little more wiggle room but a fitted jean, I would recommend venturing over to the “straight leg” section because they are an awesome alternative ( I’ve linked several pairs below if you are interested in ordering). I threw on a few necklaces to go with it and my Converse to keep it casual! I think I’ve mentioned several times that I pretty much hate to do my hair, so usually I just throw it in a messy bun like this and hardly any makeup!

“Farming For Good” Tee shirts can be purchased at Rendleman Orchards and were printed by Merchop of Carbondale| Headband: Bandiez Couture  | Necklace: Sunkissed Jewelz | Winery: StarView Vineyards

Hi everyone! As promised, I’m styling this trendy t-shirt again! It is such a cute shirt and your purchase supports our local food pantries (read more about it here)! This t-shirt is such a great one because it only has neutral colors and can be styled so many ways! There are so many wineries here in Southern Illinois and this shirt a perfect outfit option to wear. StarView is one of my favorite wineries because they usually have awesome local bands to listen to and they make some great appetizers if you are under drinking age like me, haha. This shirt is cute and comfortable but still looks stylish. I added a pair of distressed white skinny jeans and dressed it up a little with the accessories. These sandals are actually from the Old Navy kids department. Ladies, if you did’t know, a size 6 in women’s is a size 4 in kids, and kids shoes are about half the price. If you have small feet, it’s definitely worth the look, especially in more expensive shoes like Uggs, Vans, Toms, etc. I snagged these sandals up for THREE DOLLARS, total steal! They are so easy to wear and the different colored straps are right on trend.

This headband is so cute and it is another way to avoid styling your hair! Bandiez is another company that uses their product for good! It was a company started to raise money for a mission trip and since that trip, their mission has grown stronger (read all about their story here)! You can purchase yours online and at Brickwood Boutique among other local boutiques in Cape Girardeau. This necklace is from a new jewelry company, Sunkissed Jewelz. They have so many cute necklaces and bracelets (if you’ve been on the hunt for some good chockers, they have a ton). They are sold at Brickwood Boutique and Threadz so you should definitely check them out!

Maxi Dress & Necklace: Philanthropy

Hi everyone! How cute is this maxi dress? I’m typically not a huge maxi wearer but they are super trendy right now and so I have been on the hunt for some cute ones! I think this one is so pretty and girly and I think the color is so unique. I love how maxis are so flattering. They are super comfortable and easy to move around in, and they are very transitional through the seasons. You could throw a jacket over this one and easily take it into fall and winter. This beautiful purple hue is what drew me to this one. I don’t have anything that matches this shade hanging in my closet and it really makes the simple cut of the dress into something special.

I have been such a hat lover this season. They transform the entire outfit and are the perfect accessory, plus I really don’t like to spend hardly any time on my hair while I am getting ready so they are the perfect excuse to skip fixing my hair. This necklace is my favorite necklace I own. I swear it matches practically everything and I love the story. And to finish it off, I added my lace up wedges to dress the outfit up a bit!

Have a stylish week! Xoxo, Sam
