Hello people! Long time no chat! I am so excited to be back with a new outfit! This outfit is so comfy and perfect for a casual day. Plus, all of the items are clearance finds!!! Lately, tops with lace up detailing at the top have been flooding my Instagram feed. They bring a basic shirt up about 10 notches, I think. They are perfect for the days you want to wear something practical and still look like you put in a little effort. A lot of celebs have been wearing tops similar to this but they are typically out of my price range. I picked this one up on the clearance rack last week at American Eagle for a little over 10 bucks, so I still get the “celebrity” look at a fraction of the cost. I have also been seeing and loving the distressed, boyfriend fit jeans and searching for a pair of my own. A very trendy friend of mine told me to hit up some of the thrift shops… I found these Levi’s at the Goodwill for only TWO DOLLARS!!! Literally two bucks. As I was scanning the racks I was looking for a lighter wash and something that would fit in the waist because I knew I was going to cut or cuff the bottoms. These were the perfect match. I cut all the holes in them and rolled the bottoms to make them a little more fitted and I think they turned out so great!
The platform sandal trend is one of my favorites. They really dress up an outfit and are much more comfortable than a pair of heels or wedges. I found this super chic pair at Maurice’s for $10. You read that right, brand new shoes for $10. I thought the olive green really coordinated nicely with the black, white, and blue of the outfit and subtle mixing of the different stripes added an extra element to look. This belt has been buried at the bottom of my closet for quite sometime and I am so happy that I found it yesterday. These belts are another celebrity inspired trend that I have been seeing on Instagram, tv, and in magazines. I think they add a sort of boho element to the entire outfit and are such a trendy accessory. I think I paid around 10 or 12 dollars for this at American Eagle a few months ago. The bag is my sister’s and it is also an American Eagle clearance find.
Does anyone else remember when it was practically fashion suicide to be seen mixing browns and blacks or silvers and gold? Thank goodness that is so not the case anymore! I love the mixing of neutrals, metals, and textures to bring the outfit together!
On a completely different note, how many Selena Gomez fans are out there? Well recently she posted this picture on Instagram and I thought it was so cool, so it inspired Emma and I to do a little photo shoot in Grammer’s Market, our local grocery store. Thank you so much to the nice lady in Grammer’s that let us take pictures, and if you haven’t had one of their deli sandwiches before, you might want to drop in! They are D E L I C I O U S!

Have a fabulous week! Xoxo, Sam
