Are the water bottle and gym bag not the #truth? For real, though! Honestly, if it weren’t for cheer, I would hardly ever get a workout in! But whether it’s cheer practice or on my own time, I am a sucker for cute workout clothes and accessories. Pizza after a good workout is always good motivation for me and I think these hilarious accessories are the perfect reminder to do some extra lunges and crunches so you can indulge later, guilt free. I got this adorable Nike tank top on the clearance rack at Macy’s for less than 6 bucks. I REPEAT, LESS THAN SIX BUCKS… And these sneakers, only $27. If you’re looking for cute Nike workout gear that is affordable, Macy’s clearance is where it’s at. This sport bra and these leggings are my absolute favorite. I’ve tried many brands and I always go back to VS. They are so comfortable and fit so well and I hate working out in anything else. When I bought this set it was buy the bra and get the leggings free! I hope they do that sale again soon because I need more!

I hope you find a good workout sale this week! Xoxo, Sam

Navy Jumpsuit: Eccentrics

I really think this could be one of my favorite outfits ever. Jumpers are literally my favorite thing to wear. They are so adorable and so functional all at the same time.

I wore this one a couple of weeks ago to a trade show for the CEO program that I am in. For those of you that are not familiar with CEO, it is a business program for high school students, but we never meet at school, instead we meet at different businesses every morning from 7:30-9 to learn different business concepts. Part of the class was starting our own business, which led me to this blog. To showoff all of our hard work, we had a trade show where all of the of the students presented our different businesses. I thought this jumper was so perfect for the event because it can totally be “work appropriate”, but it is very trendy and fun…. Plus when I am pitching myself as a fashion blogger, I’ve gotta look the part!;) I added my favorite platform sandals and some layered gold necklaces to add some detail to the simple jumpsuit. And, I thought my floral purse matched perfectly and added some color to the neutral look.

Have a great week! Xoxo, Sam

Holy cow, it is graduation! I can’t believe it! If you are looking for a cute outfit for graduation parties and events, you should head on over to Philanthropy! They have so many cute items that are perfect for this time of year (and would make great gifts too). I always love a good romper and I think this one would be perfect to wear to parties and BBQs these next few weeks. Rompers are so perfect for me because they look a little bit dressier and are super comfortable. I think the colors on this one are so pretty. It has been a little chillier so I’ve been throwing cardigans over all my outfits and I haven’t shown my lace up flats on the blog in a while so I thought it was time I brought them back. I absolutely love these!

To all the underclassmen, when you get your chance to go to prom, GO! And please, dance the entire time… I’m telling you, it will be so much fun!

When it comes to prom style I always want something that will stand out and no one will have anything even similar to. This animal printed, two piece, immediately caught my eye. I think it is so fun and I figured not too many other people would have a dress that had leopard AND zebra print covering the top. I think the print at the top paired with the simplicity of the skirt goes so well together. I loved that there was a mini skirt underneath so the slit up the side looked really striking. Although, if I was a designer of the dress I would have made the overlay detachable because it would have been so much easier to dance without all of that extra fabric. I am typically not a huge fan of corsages but I thought this one turned out beautiful. At Cobden prom, a girl had a corsage made entirely of feathers, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever (check out her Instagram here), so I asked if they could somehow incorporate those into mine. Suggesting the feathers and picking out a few of the ribbons was really the only input I gave and Enchanted Garden designed the rest. If you don’t know what you want, walk in and tell her what you don’t want and she will do a fabulous job!

Dress: Perfectly Posh | Platform Sandals: Similar | Purse: Fossil, Similar | Sunglasses: Ray-Bans

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a fabulous week! For all my Cobden people, IT”S GRADUATION WEEK! Holy cow, I can’t believe it! If you are searching for a graduation dress Perfectly Posh in Marion has soooooooo many cute options! I definitely recommend checking them out!
I am still obsessing over 70s trends (see another 70s inspired outfit here). I saw this dress hanging up at Perfectly Posh and I knew I had to share it with you! Ya know I love denim, and I think the pleated bottom and gold buttons are just adorable. And, since the dress is so neutral and simple, it can be styled so many different ways. To match the gold buttons and 70s theme I added my round Ray-Ban sunglasses and platform sandals. This Fossil purse was a Christmas gift from a few years ago and I think it is so cute! Crossbody purses are my favorite and the shape is so perfect for carrying all of the essentials. Plus, the print is absolutely adorable and stands out against the simplicity of the dress perfectly!

What decades are you feeling inspired by this Spring?

When I “grow up” I want to have my own clothing store!

About a year ago, I discovered an adorable store in Carterville, Eccentrics. They are a great example of how I envision mine to look. The interior is so adorable, there are so many great clothing options, and the employees are always so helpful and sweet. Like Philanthropy, they are a store that uses their platform to give back. They run “Give Back Beautiful” campaigns involving different charities and organizations!

I have been eyeing this coat for awhile. It is sooooooooo cute! The pale pink color is beautiful and the fabric is so soft. It is super lightweight too so it is great for this time of year. When I was walking around picking out clothes for the blog, I saw this sweater dress paired with the coat. I was originally going to style something different with it since it was already on display, but I just kept coming back to it. It is the perfect length to wear to work or school, but it could also be paired for going out (it would be great for graduation parties and events coming up too). And, I have been seeing a lot of turtlenecks this winter and spring so I think it is super on trend. I love that it is a print to go with the simplicity of the coat and the black and white stripes really work with the color of the coat.

Basically, if you haven’t been to Eccentrics, you are missing out!

Okay girls, who doesn’t love a cute printed romper? This one is an Express clearance find ($15) that I think is sooooo cute! Black is my favorite color to wear, but lately I’ve been really drawn to prints so this black and white printed one was perfect for me. It is so springy and the neutral colors allow for accessorizing with vibrant hues. These shoes are the same shoes that I wore to prom and I think they are so cute (prom post coming soon). I love that they are both black and brown so they can go with a bunch of different outfits, plus, who doesn’t want a pair of shoes they can wear to prom one day and with a spring romper the next?

Last Fall I landed an internship with Varsity, a cheerleading apparel company, and our meetings were in Memphis! While we were there we stayed with my mom’s best friend from high school and her family. They have the cutest boutiques down south so we decided to do a little shopping while we were there. Lucky for us, there was a festival going on in the little town we stopped at. They had all kinds of adorable vendors selling cute crafts, clothes, and jewelry. I purchased this adorable “Rock On” necklace while I was there from the vendor Rescued Relics. It is so unique and I love that it has a story to go with it. I am the worst at forgetting to wear jewelry but I am 10xs more likely to wear it if it is a conversation piece like this. I also purchased the orange purse in one of the shops a different trip. I love the vibrant color and the braided detail.

Have a fabulous week! Xoxo, Sam

Last Minute Mother's Day Gift Guide. Writing a card for my mom.

Shirt: Philanthropy  (Cape Location) | Gifts: Annie Em’s at Home | Location: The Old Feed Store

Okay people, if you’re anything like me, you wait until the very last minute to get gifts for EVERYTHING! I need two hands to count the holidays I’ve been scrambling the day before to find the perfect present, and Mother’s Day is no exception! Annie Em’s at Home is a charming little store in downtown cape with a wide variety of gifts and home decor that are perfect for Mother’s Day. Above are some of my personal favorite items for the occasion.

From the books to the card, all of these things are super customizable which I think is really special and I’m sure your mom will adore. The books are my favorite of the bunch. The red one has topics that you fill in about your mom describing the reasons you love her, and the floral is already filled in for you. Not only are they super meaningful but the beautiful covers would look great on a coffee table or shelf. The candles match perfectly and they smell super yummy, I can’t decide which I like more. And the cards… The covers are so cute, but I love that they are blank so you can write your mom a personal note on the inside.

Be sure to give your mom some extra love next week!

Romper: Philanthropy | Cardigan: Similar | Necklace: You Wood | Boots: Roma

So today I’m wearing some products that are a little special, they are all clothes for a cause! Everything (except the cardigan) is from a brand that give back!

I’m starting with this adorable romper from Philanthropy. The print is so cute and it is great for spring and summer, plus, at least 10% of your purchase is donated! The boots are from the brand Roma. They are a one for one company and their mission is “Giving Poverty the Boot”, so every time someone purchases a pair of boots, a pair is also given to a child in need! The pair I am wearing is from the Sadie Robertson “Live Original” collection. I love the color and the lace up detail, they are so unique and a great conversation piece. The necklace is another Sadie Robertson product. It is from the brand You Wood (read about their story  here). They partner with different organizations that believe “You Wood Feed the Hungry, Free the Slave, Love the Orphan”.

Lately I have been loving mixing neutrals and adding pops of color with the accessories. I found this striped tank at Bloom Studio and Gifts and thought it was so adorable. I love the print and think it looks so cute with some distressed skinny jeans (I also think it would be cute with white jeans). This gold and navy necklace matches perfectly and is really adds to the top half of the outfit. I added my red suede flats and matching Mac lipstick to pop against all the blues. And then, the purse… This is my absolute favorite purse. It matches everything, and who doesn’t love a good Michael Kors? If you’re a clearance lover like me check the Macy’s clearance rack, they usually have super cute Michael Kors purses on sale (this one was less then 1/3 of the original price)!
