So I recently discovered a store that I totally love, and I’m not just saying that because I work there now, *drumroll* Philanthropy in Cape (come say hi on Saturdays)! Their motto is “Fashion and Compassion”, how can you not love them? I think this Philanthropy dress it is so cute, plus 10% of the proceeds are donated (win, win). I love the embroidered detail and the cutouts at the top and think the colors are perfect for Spring. Ya know I love an oversized cardigan so of course I had to throw this olive green one on top. It is so comfy and it has pockets which I totally love. I paired my brown moccasins with the outfit. The bow detailing is so cute and I love that they aren’t super thick with fur so they are great when it gets warmer.

Who else took ballet classes every week when they were little and thought one day they would be the star of the Nutcracker? Guilty! This pink skirt totally helps me relive the ballet days. I love the soft pink color and the flowy shape. It is so fun to walk and move around in and feels very effortless and feminine. I’m obsessed with these wedges, they are my favorite pair I own. I love the tie back and neutral colors and think they look great with a skirt or dress, or with a pair of jeans. I paired this outfit with a “Simple” graphic tee to make it a little more casual and added some silver jewelry.

Oh my gosh, who else got super sad every time they got on social media this weekend because they weren’t at Coachella?  I feel you! Going to Coachella has been on my bucket list for a while and I can not wait until the day I finally get to go… I wanna ride that ferris wheel and try the watermelon popsicles so bad! But, with all the Coachella pics comes TONS of fashion inspiration, it’s got me feeling very “Coachella Inspired”! Soooo many of my favorite celebs were there and I loved to see what they were wearing. Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are always some of my personal favorites as well as Shay Mitchell, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Vanessa Hudgens. I love the boho and edgy styles that they bring, yet they always look so effortless.

This lace detailed shirt is another Stash find (gosh I love them)! Lace is so in right now and I saw a ton of it at Coachella. I paired it with this American Rag printed skirt from the Macy’s clearance rack. The print screams boho to me! I saw booties all over my Instagram feed this weekend so I had to incorporate my favorite pair into this outfit. The gold buckles and cutouts on the side are so cute…. And guess what? These are also a clearance rack find: $8 people! Gotta love a good sale!

If I could go back in time, I would have bought tickets to go see T-Swift on the 1989 tour… but I can’t, so this Taylor Swift tee will have to suffice. She is just so cool. I love the vintage vibe of this shirt and think it is so cute (if you are going to order it I would recommend going up a size or two because it runs pretty small). I’ve been seeing navy suede skirts all over the place so I had to get one too. I found this one on the Old Navy clearance rack for a little over $6 (yay). Since Taylor Swift has a Keds collection, it only seemed appropriate that I wore mine. These were another clearance find that I snagged for around $12 at Macy’s.

Have a “Style”-ish weekend! (Get my T-Swift pun?)

Hello! I hope you’re having a fabulous day! You all probably guessed it…. I found some books and a dress from Stash! If you have not had a chance to stop in there yet, girl you’re missing out! You can never go wrong with a black and cream dress, and I love the embroidered detailing at the top. I got these Tommy Hilfiger sandals at TJ Maxx a few years ago and they are my go to shoes in the summer. It was a little chillier this day so I threw a navy cardigan over it. Am I the only one that buys my sweaters and cardigans about two sizes too big? I love the oversized look! I always roll the sleeves up a couple times so it’s a little more fitted in the arms.  And, you can never go wrong with some red lipstick!

Hey girl! I hope you are having a fantastic Monday! To my fellow high schoolers, we’re one Monday closer to summer (holla)! This season I’ve been super inspired by 70s trends and I think this dress and shoes definitely give off a 70s vibe. I love the vibrant red of the dress and the shape of it when I walk or move around! These are my first pair of platform sandals and they definitely won’t be my last. When they first started coming out (or coming back?) I was a little skeptical, but I got over that quick. They are so comfortable and go with so many outfits! If you don’t have a pair already, you should get some!

What are some of your favorite throwback trends right now?

Heidi Grippo from Bella Bambino Photography took my senior pictures and I just love them! She does such a phenomenal job and completely exceeded my expectations! I wanted my pictures to look similar to something you would see in a magazine and I thought we really achieved that! literally just showed up to the shoot with clothes and Heidi did everything else…. Poses, locations, editing, I mean she literally did it all. Since I only had one job, I made sure to do it well. I brought sooooooo many clothes. Probably too many. I made sure to bring things that could all be mixed and matched together and we threw the outfits together on the spot. Several of the outfits I would never wear in public but they turned out to be some of my favorites on camera. For example, what appears to be a crop top in the overalls outfit is a black tee shirt tucked in so it looks like a crop top. The hats were my favorite items of the entire shoot. I thought they added a vintage vibe, and really pulled it all together. She had me wear at least one piece in each outfit that had a pop of color too. I had an absolute blast shooting these! Be sure to check out Heidi’s website to see some of her other work, she rocks!

Thanks again Heidi!

This floral printed dress is another adorable find from Stash in Cape Girardeau MO. It is so cute and the print is perfect for spring and summer. I love wearing dresses because they are so comfy, and it appears that you’re trying way harder than you actually are. They are so effortless and I love the movement of this one when I walk.  This one looks so cute with a floppy hat and some simple gold jewelry to dress it up a little. Lace up shoes are so trendy this season and I love these nude ones.

Happy Wednesday, xoxo, Sam

Lately I have been obsessed with denim… Shirts, jackets, dresses. You just can’t go wrong! I snagged this denim dress off the Old Navy clearance rack for about $10 (whoo). I love the two different blues and the effortless vibe it gives off. Color blocking is so trendy right now and I love that this dress embodies that trend with denim. I have been seeing lace up flats all over Pinterest and Instagram and knew I had to get a pair. They are so versatile and go with so many different outfits (check out this sandals version). I’m on the hunt for a black pair too, I just can’t get enough!

Today is my first day back at school from spring break! Only 29 more school days until graduation… Crazy! I have been praying a lot about my future after high school and I am so excited for the plan God has for me!

Talk to ya Wednesday! Xoxo, Sam

OH MY GOSH! This statement jacket is so adorable. It is from the cutest boutique in downtown Cape Girardeau, Missouri, called Stash. They do not have a website but here is their Facebook if you would like to check them out, I absolutely love their clothes and they are always getting new stuff in stock!

This crazy So. Il. weather is keeping me on my toes. Does anyone else struggle getting dressed because it is freezing in the morning and warm enough for shorts by noon? Girl, I feel your pain! If you have the same issues as me, this jacket is for you. It is super lightweight and so adorable. You can totally dress it up with some heels and a dress, or go for a more casual look with some jeans and flats like I did. Either way, you will definitely stand out with this coat.
